Today was less mentally draining than yesterday. I enjoy problem solving, but sometimes it can be a hard and tiring experience when you have to work through all the details on your own. Usually I’ll brainstorm with my boss, and then it’s up to me to execute how those ideas come to life. Sometimes that means creating a document from type to design, and other times it means scheduling meetings. It really just comes down to doing whatever it takes to solve the problem.
One of my roles is handling the more difficult, problem-solving tasks so Tony can focus on the bigger picture. With the large project we’re working on, he’s able to shift his attention toward art direction and collaboration.
With that being said, I love what I do. When it’s a slightly slower day, I get to focus more on quality and design. It’s hard to fully explain how passionate I am about creating things. Today I worked on some simple social media ads for scholarships, spent more time on the Foundations document, and cleaned up the organization of phase one for Project Rixida, which is what we’re currently calling it.
