Week seven was nice. We had another holiday this week, and I feel like it helped with morale a lot.
Rixida was a smaller part of this week, but I still can’t show any visuals for phase two.
Easter window clings were cleaned up and finished.
I worked on wall art for the Hinckley.
I worked on a Pathways and BYUI relationship document.
I have a feeling I know what you’re thinking. Why is this talented and amazing designer spending so much time on Rixida and a relationship document?
Rixida is a big project that I’ve been spending so much time on that I now dream about it. I wish I was joking. Due to the nature of the project, I’m trying to keep it under wraps as best I can. There has been a slight leak, so the secrecy isn’t as strict as it was before, but I still can’t reveal anything major right now. I’ve attached an image of some sketches we’ve been working on. So far, we’ve covered an entire office wall with ideas, and more are still coming in.
As for the Pathways and BYUI document, it has taken a lot of time because it is constantly changing. The moment I see Vance (Project Manager), I know there are changes coming. It’s an important document that several executives will use, so it needs to be perfect. They also want it to have multiple uses, which adds another layer of complexity.
It also has a tight turnaround, so it needs to be both fast and well executed. There are now six different versions of this page, and there will probably be six more. It has gone from a two-page document to one page and back to two again. Paragraphs have been added, removed, and rewritten. The document orientation has changed a few times, and there are constant revisions.
